The Arts & Crafts store in Mumbai, one of the most popular malls in the city, was hit with a cyber attack and a massive loss of sales.
The attack is believed to have started around 2 pm on Sunday morning.
This is not the first time that the store has been hit with cyber attacks.
Last year, the store had to close for a week for repairs.
The attack occurred after the cyber hackers gained access to the company’s network and made a series of attacks against other companies, including the company, said Arjuna Bhatia, vice-president, operations, Arts&Co. The hackers reportedly stole the data of some employees, as well as accounts of the bank and the government.
The company was able to get its network back up but has been forced to close.
“We have filed a complaint with the cyber police.
Our company has not been hacked and we have no idea of what is happening, said Bhatiya.
The shop’s website, which is still online, says that the cyber attacks were “an attempt to disrupt our business and hurt our brand”.
